2008-2009 MOT/CRC Fellowship Program
The MOT-CRC China Fellows Program is now in its 5th year, created for Berkeley MBA and graduate students with an interest in technology, business, and the rapid development of China's economy.

About Eight graduate students from Haas, the College of Engineering and School of Information will be selected as MOT/CRC-China Fellows for 2008-2009. Fellows are expected to enroll in the 2-credit MOT course "MOT-Doing Business in China" in the Fall 2008 semester.

The fellowship includes an MOT-CRC organized trip to China, taking place approximately January 5 - 15, 2009. There is no cash award to Fellows beyond partial subsidy of travel to and within China. The Fellows will travel to Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing to meet with business leaders, researchers and government officials, and meet their counterparts at Chinese universities.

The 2006-2007 MOT-CRC China Fellows Program
The MOT-CRC China Fellows Program is now in its 4th year,

SI (School of Information) students with an interest in technology,
business, and the rapid development of China's high tech economy.

Eight to ten graduate students from Haas, the College of Engineering and SI will be selected as MOT-China Fellows for 2006-2007. Fellows are expected to enroll in the 2-credit MOT course "MOT-Doing Business in China" in the Fall 2006 semester.

Who may apply?

You must be a full time Haas MBA student or a MS or PhD student in SI or the College of Engineering enrolling in classes in Fall 2006.

What are the expectations of the Fellows?
Participate in the Fall 2006 course "MOT-Doing Business in China" (see course description below)
Participate in the January, 2007 trip to China
How do I apply?

Bring the following materials, stapled together, to Room F-459 in the Faculty Wing of the Haas School of Business: (a) a one-page resume (b) a one-page essay stating how you feel you will benefit from the opportunity, and why you are well suited for this fellowship. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 pm on April 7, 2006. Fellowship winners will be announced by April 10, 2006.

03/01/2006 The following students were awarded Spring 2006
China IPR Research Fellowships from Berkeley CRC:

   Laurie Yan (MBA)

Applicants demonstrated strong backgrounds in Management of Technology in China, Innovation, and strong interests in IPR research. During the Spring Semester, they will conduct a one-week field trip to China and later develop case studies for the China IPR training program.
03/01/2006 David Chen was awarded a Graduate Fellowship at Berkeley CRC as its Program Coordinator for US-China Relations 2006. In particular, David will assist the Executive Director of CRC in coordinating events for the China Innovation and IPR Leadership program.
03/01/2006 Joshua Chao was awarded a Graduate Fellowship position at Berkeley CRC as its IT Manager. As a graduate student at the School of Information, Joshua brings with him considerable web design and data management knowledge and experience. He will be responsible for the CRC website’s construction and maintenance.
