Mission
The Berkeley CRC is a leading global think tank that
enhances economic and political collaboration between China
and the US, and helps improve bilateral decision-making
through innovation, research, and educational programs.
How we will achieve success in our mission:
  1. Observation: Monitor, research and study of cutting edge
    issues regarding China/U.S. economy, business and policy,
    and their interaction, at the levels of government, industry,
    and firms.
  2. Analysis: Create new knowledge and new conceptual tools concerning emerging strategic issues in China and the U.S.
  3. Sharing: Distribute knowledge via conferences, workshops, document publishing, training programs, visiting scholar programs, and other means of widely spreading our innovations.
  4. Implementation: Provide services to Chinese & US governments, industries, and firms, leveraging our knowledge creation and observation, in order to advance our objective of peaceful prosperity.
The UC Berkeley CRC is established using diverse disciplines and perspectives to achieve its objectives. These disciplines include: Institute of Management Innovation and Organizations, Boalt Hall School of Law, School of Information Management & Systems, Haas School of Business, School of Journalism, Goldman School of Public Policy, the Institute of East Asian Studies, and others. As a global think-tank, the Berkeley CRC is also a platform where global resources can help build bridges between China and the US.
